1986-92 Deputy Chief of Mission, Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of the USSR/Russian Federation in Denmark

1992-93 Head of the Division of Security and Cooperation in Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation

1994-96 Director, Directorate of All-European Cooperation in Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation ( in charge of the OSCE, EU, NATO, NACC, WEU, Council of Europe, European regional organizations

1996-98 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the RUssian Federation (in charge of UN, oegal, humanitarian affairs, human rights, linguistic services, and archives

1999 Appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the United States

Married, has one daughter

Fluent in English and Danish
