'Never Change!' is based on a story developed by John Reynolds together with Marty Schousboe, who also directed the project. It centers around the graduating class of North Meadows High School in 2005, a group whose senior year was abruptly ended when a devastating tornado tore through their school. Now, in their mid-30s, they're compelled to return home for a final chapter—requiring them to face old flames, rekindle lost connections, and uncover long-buried secrets. This premise taps into both humor and nostalgia, illustrating how the past can shadow the present in unexpected ways.
Filming took place at the American High campus in Syracuse, New York, adding authenticity to the story. The project was produced by noteworthy industry players including Jon Watts for “Freshman Year,” Nicholas Hatton and Jason Woliner for “Swindle,” Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps for American High, Billy Rosenberg for All Things Comedy, and Jason Zaro.
