Buckle up, Buckeye fans! As Ohio State gears up for its annual clash with Michigan – a week that always brings the heat – the focus isn't just on the gridiron. It's also about securing the future, and right now, things are looking bright for the 2026 recruiting class. This year, the excitement is palpable, with the Buckeyes aiming to cap off an unbeaten regular season, all while putting the finishing touches on their 2026 recruiting class.

The tension is high, especially considering last year's unexpected home loss to Michigan. Coach Ryan Day's team is looking to break the losing streak against the Wolverines since 2019, and the game plan is a hot topic. Adding to the drama, top receivers Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate are nursing injuries, keeping everyone on edge.
But here's where it gets interesting: While the Buckeyes are in the thick of a crucial week, the 2026 recruiting class is nearly complete, and the news is overwhelmingly positive. With the early signing period just around the corner, Ohio State seems to have a solid foundation.
The Buckeyes have been incredibly active on the recruiting trail, securing 28 commitments. They've added a staggering nine new prospects in October and November alone.
Despite the usual anxieties leading up to signing day, there's little genuine concern about committed players wavering. Even five-star receiver Chris Henry Jr. and his teammate, four-star receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, appear solid. There's even a chance of adding to the class, with four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh still deciding between Ohio State and Florida.
And this is the part most people miss: Unlike the defensive line situation in 2023, where Eddrick Houston's recruitment caused some worry, all position groups in the 2026 class seem secure.
The Wolverines themselves pose a significant challenge, especially given the recent history. However, the 2026 class is unlikely to add any extra stress this week. With just over a week until the early signing period on December 3rd, Ohio State is poised to have one of the best recruiting classes in the nation.
